Second Cup Café - Edmonton

Usually this location is really good, but today we waited 20 minutes for our lattes with no one ahead of us in line, and I was given a super mega sweet caramel or maple latte (coma inducing sweetness) when I asked for a regular vanilla bean latte.

Drink was good but they only filled it halfway. Paid for a medium but got a small.

Really friendly owners and the best coffee on campus. Sure to get a good drink here as theyre prepared to perfection everytime.

The slice of carrot cake is now a sliver, for the same price!

I'd give this a 3.5 if I could. I go here often because it's close to campus and I already have a Second Cup rewards card. I think the atmosphere is pretty good as far as Second Cup's go. Lots of seating, a few outlets, usually a mix of people conversing and studying, they play music but not too loud. My servers have always been pleasant and helpful, but some of them seem to just not be that familiar with their job, and some afternoons they only have one person working so it takes forever to get your drink. I find Second Cup's coffee itself alright, certainly a step above Timmie's. At least their flat whites aren't the exact same thing as their lattes. The sandwiches and the baked goods are pretty decent but sandwiches are expensive. On the other hand I'm pretty sure they leave the same cake in the display case for like a week, don't recommend.
