Ordered two pasta dishes, Fettucine (lg) mushroom ravioli (sm), carpaccio, arancini, and capesante. There were 5 of us and there was plenty of food to share....The food was delicious. There were no delivery options so we had to pick it up so it was not that warm when we went to eat. The meal was fairly priced for the quality and the bill was around $150.00. I would like to try the restaurant when it can finally open as I am sure the service would be spectacular.
We had a group of Alfa Romeo club members in a side room with a four course fixed menu. Each course had two or three option shared family style. It was great, fresh, tasty, not particularly daring but super quality. Great attentive waiter as well,...and very good wine list. Not cheap but well worth it. A little out of the way in a suburban mall but make the effort.
We go to this restaurant any time we celebrate something. You can order a reasonably sized meal that is very affordable or have a decadent sized meal for more and worth it. We had the bruschetta and carpaccio to start, the tortellini was divine, the...fettuccine is a standing favourite and we had the surf and turf platter for 4. Amazing service as well. Highly recommend it. They serve good family style or individually. We’ve gone to both the West side location and Sherwood Park and remain fans. We have an excellent experience every time.
Visited the location on Lessard in Hawkstone neighbourhood Friend and I made a last min decision to have dinner here. Best decision we made all weekend It was a bit busy when we got there and had no reservation, but they had room at the...chefs counter. If you want to watch a great team at work, sitting at the counter is definitely a must! We had the Caesar salad Gnudi (little pillows from heaven) , Polpettini (meatballs). Most delicious food ever!! Everything was cooked to perfection ! We got to sample the Risotto and I have to say it was the best lobster risotto my friend and I have ever tasted! The service was absolutely top notch! Diana our server was friendly, knowledgeable and make some great suggestion and explained each dish to us and she was funny! The restaurant manager Chad was so welcoming and made us feel right at home. Knows how to treat customers well, I can see why they have so many repeat customers. Overall experience was amazing and will definitely be returning when I’m in Edmonton Thanks for the awesome service and fantastic food to the whole team.
This is the Vivo that we love! We are not a fan of their new restaurant in Windermere (see my review of that) but this west end one is consistently good and delivers high end, consistently great Italian food. The decor is classy but modern....Service is attentive without being intrusive. The menu offers a good selection. The food is consistently great. Tonight, we tried the meatballs and scallops for appetizers. The scallops were cooked perfectly and served on a bed of squash puree very tasty. We then each had a small plate of pasta (as we could not agree on one to share) or risotto all were cooked to perfection al dente. Then we shared the platter of beef tenderloin, lobster tail and shrimps with sides of brussel sprouts and beets and carrots. I have to say, the brussel sprouts were the best I've ever had! They were charred just the right amount and there was a hint of maple taste to it, together with the pancetta, it was delicious! I could have eaten the whole bowl! The seafood was fresh and cooked perfectly and the tenderloin was a perfect medium rare. We had a ton of food and brought home enough leftovers for another meal tomorrow! We will definitely return to this Vivo over and over again. Just be aware that their Windermere location is nothing like this one and personally, I would not return there.
