The Cross Guns Inn - Egerton

We dined at this amazing restaurant for the first time tonight, and it was a wonderful experience. The manager frequently checked in on us at our table, which we appreciated. Our server, Summer, was exceptional! As someone in the catering industry myself, I can honestly say that Summer stood out with her charming demeanor and wisdom. She displayed genuine enthusiasm and passion for her role, which made a significant impact on our experience. The food was excellent, and we loved the fantastic cocktail menu. We enjoyed every moment of our visit and will definitely be returning. A big thumbs up to the team!

The dining experience was enjoyable and the food tasted great. However, there were a few basic mistakes that I wouldn't expect at these prices. The young staff seemed a bit inexperienced and chaotic at times. Additionally, the background music, while nice, was a bit too loud and made conversation somewhat challenging. Overall, it was a pleasant evening outdoors, but I would like to see some improvements before I consider returning anytime soon.

This place is absolutely fantastic, nestled in a quiet village, and truly elevates the concept of a gastropub to a higher level. The food is exceptional without any pretentiousness. The building is newly renovated, clean, fresh, modern, and stylish. There’s private parking available above the street, making it accessible for all types of vehicles. This restaurant is a must-visit, offering incredible Michelin-quality meals at surprisingly low prices, complemented by an excellent wine selection. Whether you choose to sit in the bar, the formal dining area, or outdoors, the experience is exceptional, with outstanding table service throughout. I highly recommend it. It’s hard to categorize it as just a pub or gastropub; it’s far superior to that.

Brilliant pub. really well renovated with large staff, top food and drink. an absolute must be when they are in this area.

Visited for lunch after a brisk walk with my wife. The place was quiet, but that didn't bother us. We sat in the bar area and had the duck and chicken supreme from the main menu and it's some of the best food I have eaten in a long time. How this place isn't rammed is a mystery. Can't wait to come back.
