Alpine Golf Course - EGG HARBOR

Sense the review option is always turned off for resort I’ll leave it here when the owner decide to let’s people post their thoughts on that site I’ll be happy to move it their but for a month now they keep turning it offI once worked for this company many yrs ago it was old then but had character and good food.What the new owner has done is nice in some areas but not so good in otherCottages have been updated and cleaned nicelyEmployee housing has had a makeover and AC has apparently been added -well done, I remember those buildings being 100° Sundays during the summer monthsParking has decreased dramaticallyHistorical value and look of the main buildings, interior has been destroyed with modern look while exterior building still looks rundown falling apart rugged lookMy wife and I went there for lunch and obviously not so busy day. There was only two tables in the restaurant mine being one of them about 13 workers standing around doing virtually Nothing, it took five minutes for the waiter to even approach the table another five minutes just to get water five more minutes to take an order and then he disappeared to talk to other table until it was time to give us the bill in between another individual brought us our food a third individual refilled our water glasses and we had to flag down forth individual to get ketchup, nobody ever asked how the food was or even spoke to us, with the exception of taking our order, while we sat there for the better part of an hour.It seemed that everything was an up charge on the menu. Not to mention the prices were outrageously ridiculous. My wife’s food looked appetizing with her uncharged side. My food, however, was a Cuban sandwich that was literally dripping, at least a half a cup of fat onto the plate, the French Demi baguette it was served on was comparable to that of a rock overall not satisfyingin total two drinks two lunch sandwiches came out to about $60If you’re gonna have large city prices, the least you could do is make sure the food tastes good and not over cooked, the view only makes up for so much

We had a nice day today. Course is pretty rough but we know the new owners are going to put money into it and fix it up. Greens were really nice. Some narrow holes out there. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. We'll be back .

It was like playing in a cow pasture no fairways , you will need to go to a chiropractor after finishing a round. The fairways” I think they were fairways” were very bumpy kind of like going on a rough coaster ride, no directions to other holes. I play about 50 rounds a year and I’ve never played on the worst golf course. I should’ve paid us to play. The best thing about this golf course where the staff and greens.

Easily the worst condition golf course I have played on, for $72 a round (w/cart) you hope there would be decent course management. To be fair i'm sure there was as string of dry weather before, we golfed the 4th of July week, a discount or at least a warning of the condition of the course would have been nice. Fairways were like concrete and the greens were spongey. I try to give the course the benefit of the doubt, but the majority of the courses in the door county area had watered and green fairways.

I always love to play golf here when I am in Door County. The staff is so nice and I love the different courses to keep the game fun..
