We only drove by to locate the place for future visits, but we will be going to get there soon, we are new to the area. Nice enjoyable and scenic ride there from our place in Peterstown, no worries, no hurry !!!
This was hard for our GPS to find, but really worth it. Tried the mussels, pizza, greek salad and strawberry rhubarb creme brulee. Mussels were great, though challenging as a shared app as nowhere to put shells. The restaurant is surrounded by nothing, and while they made room for us it's worth getting a reservation during graduation season. The whole place is charming, the staff is friendly and courteous, and you can tell they are sourcing and using high quality ingredients. The cheese pizza was good (I'd asked for it well done based on the pizza I saw coming in) which had some nice char and flavor, but you should eat it all as the leftovers turned to rock the next day. The creme brulee was mild, but delicious. Honestly looking forward to going back, the prices were very reasonable for the quality and you could really tell they care about what they're doing. Edit: I've been back several times, and while everything is almost always great there are some misses: It's worth going here for the hush puppies alone. They're that good. They have a hibiscus cake that likely shouldn't have been sent to customers. Dry, dense, and lacking in flavor. I've ordered it several times now and there's just something wrong with their pizza dough as is, coming out with little to no color on the bottom it has the flop of a Neapolitan without any of the crisp or flavor, and combined with pepperoni or other ingredients and it's kind of a mess. It's a shame, as so much of their food is of a far higher quality and you can tell the ingredients themselves are high quality. Something is just going wrong with the dough recipe and bake time for their oven.
The food was unique amd wonderful. The Austrailaan sea bass was amazing. The house salad was so beautifu and delicious, with its striped rose radishes and chared lemon salad dressing. The raspberry tiramisu was extraordinary. The service was slow, but cordial . After all, I was part of a large group with separate checks.
The service was wonderful the food lacking in refinement.
