El Charrito Mexican Food - El Cajon

Absolutely delicious! We visited on a Tuesday, not realizing it was Taco Tuesday, and the tacos were amazing at just a dollar each. In my opinion, the carnitas were the tastiest. My family ended up ordering 35 tacos for just $35 plus tax. Additionally, the fountain drinks actually tasted good, unlike those at many other restaurants, which was a nice surprise. I highly recommend coming here on a Tuesday with an empty stomach!

I've visited this restaurant more than a dozen times, and it never disappoints. My go-to order is the vegetarian breakfast burrito with added fajita vegetables and guacamole. I often find myself craving it at least once a week. However, it's worth noting that the beans are cooked in lard, and the rice is prepared with animal stock (I confirmed this over the phone). I received mixed responses regarding this, so vegetarians should be cautious.

This restaurant is a cut above the typical fast-food Mexican places. I tried the hash brown burrito, and it was incredibly delicious. They have a well-rounded menu with plenty of options, and the salsa is made fresh on-site.

This place is a hidden gem! I don't want to write this review so others don't know how great this place is. I don't want them to have a line! Tacos are flavorful! I have tried every taco!!! Yelp check in and they give you a free fish taco!!! They also have specials each week!!!

I like the breakfast burritos, salsas, hot carrots, and chiles toreados at El Mustacho. Hash browns in burritos is not my cup of tea as much as straight potatoes, but the food and service at this place is good nonetheless. The habañero salsa with chiles torreados is bomb if you are a fellow heat freak.
