L&l Hawaiian Barbecue - El Cajon

I have been on this place for years. they have been closed for months, many of the workers ended to leave, now the restaurant is renovated most of the workers are new as they do not know what they are doing at all. I wait for half an hour for a bbq mix plate when there was an empty restaurant. Not to mention it seems as if the casser had no idea how to use the register properly trained. poor guiding forces must be formed. waste their time or money go to another l

I would like to start this review off by saying the lady who works in the front is very nice and have us excellent service. However, my wife and I got our food severely burnt, and the taste was horrifying. It tasted like there was some type of chemical cleaner that was cooked into the meat. I wish I could describe the smell and taste. They also have their cooks smoking out front which is an obvious public health violation. This is very disappointing considering L&L is usually one of our favorite places to eat, and this was our first time at this broadway location and definitely our last. I am really hoping to convey this as a possible warning if you have kids, or eat here yourself I would just be a bit mindful.
