Parrilla Mi Viejo - El Calafate

We found this place after a walk in an afternoon and booked a table so glad we did when we arrived at a busy and friendly restaurant on a Saturday night. We were made very cordially by our fabulous waiter (Ariel) who provided helpful information about dishes and portion advice. We went for the specialty Cordero and it was amazing- the best lamb rib we've ever eaten. Very much recommend this beautiful local restaurant to anyone who visits the area!

The restaurant is fantastic! Cordero and other meat cuts are one of the best we've ever eaten! Special for our great waiter Ariel who made us feel at home. Very recommended for lunch. We went a few times since it was so delicious. Large selection of Malbec wines. If we had more time, we'd go back. No need to try other restaurants in El Calafate.

Our dinner was just delicious! I don't like meat or ice cream, but I had both and it was delicious! Our waiter disappeared, but the one who replaced him was super nice and friendly! You need to book how they are full!

Hands down the BEST restaurant in El Calafate! If you are looking for good quality Argentine steak and lamb, this is the point! The service was super efficient, the staff was very friendly and patient with us not Spanish speakers. Your parts are huge! Our steak was about 20 ounces (served 2) and ready for perfection and the calendered ice cream sealed the deal. You'll have a tough time in Mi Viejo. Every day at 6:45 a.m. there is a line outside the restaurant with steak lovers who hope to go in. It reminded me of Black Friday in the USA. LOL The best option is to make a reservation before time.

Not surprisingly the steak at this grill restaurant was very good. The portion sizes for people used to the UK were huge. The assorted vegetables were also impressive. There was a friendly family atmosphere and pleasant service. Highly recommended
