Hoshi Sushi - El Cerrito

Ducked in here on a rainy Sunday for a quick bite. It's a little gem of a place.Shisimi is fresh, very good quality, we had hamachi and salmon. The rolls were good. I really liked the chicken karaage.I enjoyed their over the top decorations, especially the Hello Kitty over the doorway to the kitchen.They have an unusually long menu, I got a chuckle out of the kids menu section. I have to google some of the references when I get home.On the way out, we saw a family with a little kid, the kid was wide eyed with the decorations....so much to look at. ?Oh...they have a card thing where you can collect stamps for a free roll. Ironically last night I was watching a K-Drama (My Demon) and saw a similar card in the show.The Fates must be messing with me again. ?

My favorite sushi place. I been going here everytime I want sushi. I spend too much money here.

Stopped in for lunch today and had a rainbow roll and salmon skin hand roll. Very fresh and good quality and great service.

Great flavors, great rolls. Though they only had one waiter working during busy hours, so service was a little slower and dishes came out staggered. Good food made up for

I was made to wait for nearly 20 mins to pick up an order beyond the assigned pickup time. Its frustrating when they didn't give me an estimate of wait time before hand, keeping me wondering every minute passing when the order would be packed and completed. They need to increase their speed of work.
