However, we were a bit disappointed with the portion size of the walnut prawns, as it felt too small for the price we paid. The BBQ ribs were delicious! On a positive note, the packaging was excellent, and everything arrived without any spills.
The Hunan prawns, reminiscent of the Szechuan prawns at Great China in Berkeley, were perfectly lightly breaded and the sauce was absolutely delicious! The rock cod with black bean sauce was also excellent!
The Hunan Beef was delicious and tender, topped with a light fried layer. The sauce wasn't spicy in terms of heat but had a delightful hint of ginger. The Uncle Wong's Fried Rice was excellently prepared— not greasy, and it had a good balance of vegetables and meat. Overall, Uncle Wong's has consistently served tasty dishes and offers a nice variety on the menu.
A bit hit or miss. Walnut prawns and sweet and sour spare ribs were good. Tender Chinese greens with mushrooms were surprisingly only okay. Fried shrimp appetizer were overcooked. Green onion cake was over fried. Egg drop soup was too salty.
The food is incredibly fresh and flavorful, featuring beautifully large pieces of tofu. I highly recommend it!
