The Pirate Cove - El Mirage

We visited for the first time on December 20th, and we were really impressed. The staff was excellent, and the food was outstanding. I especially loved the bacon-wrapped shrimp, although it’s so rich that I can only indulge in it about once every six months. It’s absolutely delicious! On our second visit, we brought our daughter along, and the meal was just as fantastic.

Every time we dine here, the food is absolutely delicious. The waitress is consistently friendly and attentive. While the menu is primarily in Spanish, this is a Mexican seafood restaurant, so I actually prefer seeing "quesadilla" over "cracker cheese." Fortunately, the menu also includes English translations, and the staff is happy to answer any questions you may have. The desserts are delightful, the music is great, and there's a lovely bar area where you can order full meals. I really love this place!

I had the fish tacos and a rice and bean plate. Everything was delicious, and I really enjoyed the homemade chips and salsa. Dining on the terrace was lovely. Carla was excellent—very nice and friendly. My husband had the El Rancho plate. It was our first time here, but it definitely won’t be our last!

If you drive to Rio Mirage, just go around the corner and get better food! The most authentic Mexican food in the area and the service is fantastic, Anna was so great! All our dishes were perfect and tasty as if they were Grandma recipes, not American versions. Only the complaint that I could still have to do is that the chips could be better, but different from this his VERY good!

Can't wait to come back, the drinks were great, I had a peach margarita and tried my dude's michelada. All the food was delightful and the server was very friendly and explained what things were and made great recommendations for the more indecisive members of our party. Our only regret is that we haven't been in sooner when we live so close by.
