You absolutely have to try the burritos here, especially the birria de res. In English, that refers to beef prepared in a flavorful, aromatic broth. Regardless of the translation, they're incredibly delicious! These burritos are quite substantial and definitely pack a punch. You'll find the restaurant in El Monte on Peck Road, right next to a fire station, so it’s hard to miss!
This place, recognized by the Michelin Bib Gourmand, serves delicious homemade tortilla burritos filled with fresh shredded beef in either red or green sauce—definitely something you should order. You can also add borracho beans and mozzarella to your burrito for an extra treat. However, I wouldn't recommend the pork burrito, as it only contains slippery, cooked pork rinds. The staff here is very helpful and friendly. I just wish they offered chips with orders!
A jewel for Mexican cuisine. This popular Mexican restaurant is located on Peck Road in El Monte. The restaurant focuses on only Burritos and Quesadillas and they do well. The long line is a witness to how good the food is. I wasn't here until my son told me about it. We came and got a Burrito and Quesadilla. Both were fantastic. The handmade flour tortillas were so soft. We still have some fresh flour tortillas to take home. The service was very efficient. We just waited less than 10 minutes for our food. Since all foods are made fresh, they are very fast to turn the food. Prices are very reasonable. Parking is located either in the parking lot next to the restaurant or on the street.
Came to check the spot out for their birria burrito. When I got there I ordered a couple options but at the end of the day, the birria burrito was my favorite. The juices in the meat just drip down this tortilla which contributed to the great taste. Hands down, it was on point. My second favorite was the deschebrada, which was delicious for their shredded beef with green sauce. I also had the chicharon burrito and if you like that wet style then you?ll like it. It has a bit of a kick but not to spicy. The tinga burrito was ok but still good. The small portions allows you to enjoy variety of burritos in one sitting. As of this review, no in door seating.
