We found ourselves at this restaurant after discovering that Maria's bakery down the street had sold out of tamales. The bustling parking lot was a good sign, and we were pleasantly surprised to see nearly every table occupied for dining inside. It seemed like everyone was enjoying their Sunday bowls of menudo. We had come to try the tamales, and ordered two pork tamales and one rajas (green chili with cheese). The masa was tasty, and the pork tamale had a nice kick to it. The tamales are quite large, so I ended up taking my third one home. The service was impressive, especially considering how busy and sizable the place was. I noticed several customers bringing their own containers to be filled with menudo or pozole to take home. I could see the abuelita cooking in the back. I'm so glad to have discovered this hidden gem. Enjoy your meal!
This restaurant serves the best tamales. They are generously filled, and the masa is blended with sauce, making it full of flavor. If you're looking for a tasty tamale, this is the spot to visit!
Excellent. I think it's run by 3 generations of Mexican women. First time I was picking up 3 dozen tamales based on a Yelp recommendation the senior lady told the youngest one to serve me a green chili and a red pork tamale. Excellent.
Tamales we so good . Good filling with a hot cup of Cafe de Olla. My friend had the Menudo with all the fixins some home made tortillas.
