El Pollo Loco - El Monte

I'm not sure why this place receives negative reviews. I've always enjoyed their chicken. The only downside I've encountered is that there have been a few times when they ran out of chicken and mentioned a waiting time of about 20 minutes. Overall, the 16-piece family meal for $30 is still a great value, as it comes with three sides and includes legs and thighs—plenty for several meals. I believe the chicken here tastes better than what's offered at some local fast food spots.

Just went and ordered pollo bowls for my family. Their response: we 're out of pollo bowls. We only have dinner meals. Ummm... What? You 're out of rice, beans, and chicken? The same thing that your dinner menu is made of. Terrible service. Sounds like they have lazy workers at that location. Next time I 'll go to churches chicken, Popeyes, or KFC. Edit: I just went to KFC. They had what I ordered.

Everything was way too salty! The rice was salty, and so was the avocado salsa. I can't pack my chicken and salsa like I used to, which is really disappointing!
