Jim's Burgers - El Monte

Came just before 9pm with a buddy. They close at 9:30pm. Cashier asked the Manager if it was okay if we could DINE IN for us but, he said No. No Problem, they want to go home on time. Although we would 've cleaned up after ourselves, and tipped, I totally get it!!!! The restaurants interior is very 80 's kitsch with Linoleum Flooring and Tables found at any dated Fast Food Restaurant. Novelas always on the screen. I didn 't bother checking the Restrooms. Plenty of Parking. Staff is Friendly Hardworking. Not the best neighborhood and lots of Homeless walking around outside with Mental Issues but, these Local Ethnic Hole-in-The-Walls usually have The Best Tasting Food! So, we both Ordered the 'Pollo Loco Special ' which is a Half-Chicken of Rotisserie Chicken with Bread, Fries Salad. I finished My Order with a Large ORANGE BANG! BOMB!!! The other Long-Standing Hole-in-The-Wall Local Favorite location in Rosemead on San Gabriel Blvd and Graves Rd. finally shut it 's doors last year. I guess they couldn 't compete with the Wuhan Flu. Too Bad for all of us. That place was well known locally as the GO TO Spot for American Breakfast, Mexican Breakfast, Burgers, Sammies and their Pollo Loco. So, I remembered coming to this El Monte Location during the Early 90 's and thought I 'd see if it had the Pollo Loco since it was a Long Standing Local Chain and ultimately, They Did!!! Juicy Delicious Rotisserie Chicken meat with Toasted Halved Bread, Small Green Salad and Perfect Fries Now, My Buddy will become a Regular and he says it 's REALLY GOOD and better than many Popular Westside Rotisserie Chicken Joints with More Bang For Your Buck!!! I will always come back for more of their El Pollo Loco Special!

Old school inexpensive dining. Friendly staff, quick service, clean restaurant, and a decent size menu. Something for everyone. Far from a pinky out restaurant and not a spot to hit if you are fixing to impress a significant other. But if you want decent eats at a good price, Jim's will get you taken care of.

Love this place a lot since it's closer to home. Nice friendly staff and the food is good as well.

One of the Better Jim's around..always great quality and service..The asada Chili Cheese Fries are a must try!

Ordered this place on door dash and just wow! Even after a long drive to be delivered, this was the BEST pastrami sammich I've ever had!! I splurged and also got the chile cheese fries, which were amazing too!
