When I visited the restaurant often for business, my husband thought it was a nice place near lunch as we were in the neighborhood. The McCormick Schmick is specialized in seafood and shells, steaks and fresh salads in the garden. Each of the more than eighty restaurants prints their menu every day! It's true! We think that's so fantastic. This is done to ensure that only the highest and best available qualitative items are served for food cartridges. In addition, the El Segundo McCormick Schmick presents a very welcoming and warm ambience as you go through the facility. Below you can see the wooden and glass walls in the main kitchen room inside, the lounge area with an enormous bar with knowledgeable bartenders, the main entrance where an oyster display on ice through a nearby swordfish on a stainless steel covered wall and the dazzling glass ceiling, which past beautiful banquet rooms on the way to the outside terrace... Lunch on a beautiful day in Southern California is not hard to do considering how great the weather is here. However, lunch on a beautiful day on a beautiful outdoor terrace can be difficult if you are not sure where you do it. A safe bet is at the El Segundo McCormick Schmick... I grabbed the photo from where we sat. We were happy enough to come a dinner crowd for lunch, so we had our choice of tables. This beautiful wooden Arbor with wired light balls hanging from it was one of our views. On our right-hand side, the view above included comfortable terrace furniture in front of a magnificent outdoor fireplace, plasma screen TV for sports season collections and high-end palms overlooking the terrace, as she held a vigilant eye on us while we dined. These creatively designed wire balls are actually lights hanging from the ceilings of the buried terrace. I can imagine the inviting environment that they have to create after the sun goes down. If someone from our readers knows where we can get some of them for our own terrace, please let us know! Time for cooled refreshments before order! My husband enjoyed a glass of champagne while I was from a cold glass of Chardonnay... Upstairs, the outdoor fireplace I mentioned on the terrace...enorm and command, this is the main center of the dining area from doors. We must return to dinner to experience the evening ambience! Lunch begins with an amazing sourdough bread served with a smoke of chilled sweet cream butter. That's the kind of carbohydrate I could fight for days... That's why I forced my husband to keep it on his side of the table so I could resist the temptation. I just ripped off a little bite to taste, and was delivered entirely to another place. A good place. A place of carbohydrate and butter happiness... even if only for a moment until this bite was swallowed and was nothing more than a memory. Bottom line... the bread at McCormick Schmick is delightful and delicious! I started with a small salad before our ducks were delivered. That would also make a great duck salad. This Walnut Mixed Greens Salad $7.95) is prepared with mixed greens, candied walnuts, Blue Cheese crumbs and a savory Balsamico vinaigrette dressing that covers every last drop on your plate. The blue cheese is creamy and is a perfect taste contrast to the sweet candied walnuts, while the creamy vinaigrette that really delivers the mixed greens. For our main courses we have both chosen one of the most famous articles of McCormick Schmick... their fish! Below, my husband chose Parmesan Crusted Sole with a Lemon Caper Butter Sauce and Butternut Squash orzo $15.95). Our two fish brothers were served with the following Butternuss-Quesch orzo...green peas, delicate orzo, juicy Butternuss-Quesch and accompanied by carrots and asparagus on the side... My choice for lunch was also a fish selection... the Almond Crusted Rainbow Trout with a lemon butter sauce and the same butternut quash orzo pictured above. Another delicious salad creation from the kitchen of Mc Cormick Schmick is the Lobster Cobb Salad, which, as you can see below, with its tower of layers of crispy bacon, egg, blue cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and juicy lobster claws is quite visually stimulating... On the photo below, I started breaking the tower of goodness to show all the colorful and hearty layers of delicious ingredients... Craving something on the sweeter side after your meal, but do you want to keep it easy? Try the Sorbet Martini $4.95), which is a selection of three of the offered Sorbet flavors of the day. We chose the raspberry, lime and pear... we plan to get back to McCormick Schmick for her happy hour. We hear that it is a rather fantastic event and should be well valued in a future post. Until then, if you are looking for an upscale yet relaxed atmosphere for lunch with acceptable prices near the airport, this is certainly one of our high recommendations! This restaurant has a great service and high quality seafood. The waiting staff was very attentive and the food portions and taste were worth the prices. atmosphere seems perfect for business dinners, small parties, etc.
I went there with my husband for dinner, for appetizer we ordered coconut shrimp, the platter has only 5 shrimps so definitely not enough for two people but
