It used to be a fantastic place with a great selection of beers, especially at the small bar in the back. I finally returned while I was at the vet next door and noticed that the pandemic seems to have really affected them. The freezer was only half full compared to how it was before COVID, and there were even beers that were three years old! I genuinely hope the community rallies around this place to help them recover. I did take away a star for the aged beer since no establishment should be selling beer that old, but the owner is a really good guy. Once they refresh their selection and stock the freezer with new beers, I’ll definitely be back to buy some.
What a really awesome find in El Sobrante! The name only encompasses one of its attributes a variety of beer and wine with a bar in the back! I discovered the front is also an area for Indian groceries, lunch (Punjabi Kitchen Tues Thur 11a 3p), middle of the store sells traditional Indian clothes/fabric, etc. I've been looking for a place like this to get legit ingredients to make authentic Indian recipes my next food conquest was Dal Makhini and I was able to find everything I needed and then some! There is a ton of decently priced beans, spices, some fresh produce, imported Indian products even the spicy pickled mango my partner loves! Looks like the place is family owned and the lady working there was helpful in pointing me to the right direction for spices. Definitely coming back to get more Indian products, try Punjabi Kitchen, and taste the variety of beers at the bar!
Sooo Good !!!! From the fried to the slow cook dishes everything has a delicious mix of spices and textures that made me feel like Remi the little chef from Ratatouille.... fireworks !!!!! Delicious
Called in an order for a 30pc Dark chicken that took longer than 10 minutes. Make sure you pay attention to how much they charge you too. DALJIT UPPAL will literally try to play you and over charge you. Shady ass business. They need some health inspection in there too cause it looked hella dirty in there. Dont even wanna eat the chicken anymore. Definitely going to call Contra Contra Costa County Health Department after this.
I heard from friends in the area that Bottles serves excellent Indian food. They recommended we try the butter chicken and baingan bharta, and both dishes were fantastic. To make it even better, they also offered full-size naan. I absolutely love this place and have officially designated it as my go-to Indian restaurant, BB.
