Staying in nearby Cleon, we popped into Elbeuf for dinner and weren’t overwhelmed with the choices, heading to La Fleur de Sel, we assumed we’d get an average bite and hit the road but we’re really happy with this hidden gem. Located on an unassuming junction, next to a convenience store, it doesn’t look much but once inside, the friendly staff and warm vibe is a pleasure. We tried the Bergere (sorry about my spelling of wrong! galette which was delicious, followed by a variety of sweet crepe. Washed down with the house pression beer, it was a thoroughly enjoyable meal. The fact that within a few minutes of entering the empty restaurant, we were surrounded by hungry locals placing their orders tells you all you need to know. Recommended.
We took a major detour to visit this place, based on the reviews from other Tripadvisors. The food was amazing. Never tasted crepes as good as these and they were accompanied by some delicious local cider. The kids lived their ice cream too. Our waitress was very helpful considering we did not share a common language and the chef was extremely friendly. Highly recommended.
Delighted to have pushed the door to discover delicious cakes very finely seasoned, the cake has delighted me: the frog was taken in point, the delicious cake, the campagnarde was as much. We took the time to taste desserts, it's just as good, light aromas perfectly laid. A very good time. Thank you for your welcome and your kitchen.
