Paul's Family - Elgin

Awesome people, awesome food! Just a great all around family gathering place! I highly recommend this place! Parking: Huge parking lot! No problem. ? Kid-friendliness: I know kid's would love this place! These people are very kind friendly! Who don't love kid's! Everybody loves kid's! Lol ?. Wheelchair accessibility: Yes! Absolutely wheelchair accessible!

There are so few family restaurants that stay open past 4pm. It was great to discover Paul's. It's truly a family restaurant. The wait staff was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The menu was extensive. I had the country fried steak, excellent. You could actually see the steak, not just breading. They don't have country gravy which was somewhat disappointing however their beef gravy was superb. My friend had the chopped steak which came cooked to her liking and the veggies she ordered were prepared perfectly. The soups are homemade which is what sister ordered with warm crusty Italian/Greek bread. Yummmm!As you enter the restaurant you're greeted with an array of cakes and pies. WOW.The portions served are plentiful where you may only have room to share a dessert or two.All in all a super discovery. We'll be back soon

I have shut in parents so I only ever get to go. This place is always busy when I go, and yet the people there are extremely nice and the food has never disappointed us. Our favorite is the corned beef and cabbage. Given the location, it's surprisingly easy to get in and out of, but parking can be a struggle at times.

Based on these reviews we were excited to try a new place in our extended neighborhood. Unfortunately we will not be back. We paid over $100 for bland food that was slow to come even though we were there before 5pm. From how crowded the restaurant became as we waited; Paul’s is doing well; but it’s not because of the food maybe the older crowd? Very disappointed.
