The Dessert - Elgin

I'm fairly new to the area and wanted to have a custom cake made for my sons 4th birthday. I stumbled across the dessert bar one day on my way home from work and I'm glad I did! Selina took my vision and brought it to life and even added some cute pieces to the cake which matched up with our theme perfectly! So if you need a custom cake made I highly recommend the dessert I know I will be back for any future cakes!

Their banana pudding is so yummy! A neighbor of mine surprised me with some and I almost ate the entire thing in one sitting. If you have a sweet tooth you should definitely check them out ! I am looking forward to trying more off of their menu.

Baby girl and I made our way to dessert bar today, and oooooo what a treat. I actually hate red velvet cake, but I was so wrong. The red velvet was moist, not too sweet and delicious. It reminded me a my cousin's red velvet. Baby girl ordered the strawberry delight and we had to stop her from eating it because the slice was so big. We didn't want her to over indulge. This place is phenomenal and so are the people who work here. They baked me a specialty gluten free, sugar-free cake to accommodate my diet needs. I was scheduled to pick up my cake today and the weather was bad and I have two children. When I told her I was going to put them in the car and be on my way, she told me to not worry about bringing them out in the bad weather, and she delivered the cake straight to my door. Talk about customer service! The cake is beautiful and delicious and I couldn't have asked for a better experience.
