Savoury and Sweet - Elgin

This restaurant is a fantastic addition to the Rideau Lakes area, located in Elgin and conveniently close to recreational areas near Seeleys Bay and Portland. We enjoyed the Pork and Chicken Schnitzel with Spaetzle on the side, which was made to order and served piping hot. The Spaetzle was the best I have ever tasted, not greasy at all. We were able to make a same-day reservation and started our meal with delicious pierogies. Although we were too full for dessert, we took two Blueberry turnovers to go. We are looking forward to returning with our extended family, as it is a great alternative to cooking while on vacation!

You really need to go try their handmade pastries. These are excellent. We also had a very nice egg salad breakfast. They have some unusual groceries for various countries in Europe. This place brings Elgin a step up on the ladder! Try it!!!!

Great tasty homemade food - large portions and delicious flavours. Wish they had a few more options for sweets made when we got there, but, would love to go back. What a great addition to Elgin and the Rideau Lakes area!
