All his sauces are homemade, and I ate half my pulled pork sandwich before even adding any. Even then I didn't need to, but I wanted to try the sauces on the sandwich.
Came to get lunch to go to eat with my parents… was excited to see burnt ends on the menu, but a little wary, because lots of places just cut brisket flat into chunks and call it ‘burnt ends’
We went white water rafting and a different BBQ restaurant was recommended by the guides and staff however it was closed and wouldn’t open for an hour. We decided not to wait and found Big Dan’s BBQ in Elizabethton. The food was delicious! The staff was friendly, accommodating and made the experience that much better! Did I say the food was delicious? It was!
Excellent service, decent bbq. Got the lunch special with a sandwich and fries. Good sized and the fries were on point. Toasted buns were an added touch. Had to try a hot dog while here and it was good as well.
Very friendly staff, but the barbecue is dry for my taste, the brisket was extremely dry and tough
