It was wonderfully tender and flavorful. It was served with some kind of fried fingerling potatoes. . . what ever they are, and brussel sprouts. I don't particularly like brussel sprouts, but these were fresh baby ones. . . maybe the size of a gumball, and they were very good. This is the third time I've eaten there. Thankfully I've only had to pay for one time. If you want to have a very special meal to celebrate an occasion, I highly recommend this restaurant. This is a big city restaurant in little ole Elkhart. Meals run between $20-$40, add salad and an appetizer, without any alcoholic drinks, you can figure close to $100 for 2. . . surely not for everyday, a lot of money, but for a special evening, in my opinion it can't be beat. . . It was a wonderful evening. Everything was great from the food, to the server, to the atmosphere. I enjoyed myself immensely.
We ate here last night and it was such a great experience. The food was out of this world and I can honestly say it is the best restaurant I have ever been to...and we lived in Houston, TX for 3 years where the food is amazing. We had the crab cake and gnocchi to start and the chicken and duck for entree’s and everything was absolutely amazing. The staff were so attentive and kind and took a genuine interest in us. I have already decided this is where my birthday meal will be this year and can’t wait to return.
My parents came at 5 pm Saturday evening and had the whole restaurant to themselves. They were treated like royalty and loved chatting with the manager. They loved their pumpkin and onion soups that they ordered, their 8 dinner rolls with butter and rock salt which enhanced the flavor of the butter. Mom ordered the rack of lamb and dad the 16 oz. Cast Iron Prime Ribeye. Both raved that it was the best meal they had ever eaten in a restaurant. They took home a slice of blueberry cheesecake with edible flowers. It blew Sara Lee cheesecakes away. They loved their Artisan experience. 5 stars for sure!
We celebrated our wedding anniversary at Artisan on Saturday. It was one of the best meals we have ever shared together. The restaurant is beautiful, cozy, romantic setting. Our waiter, John was excellent. We sampled some of their craft cocktails and the martinis were perfectly made. They make their own butter and were generous with lots of their fresh bread as well. The chef brought dishes out to us, which was such a treat. We had their meat and cheese tasting plate, the selections were wonderfully paired and we ate every bite. We then had the squash soup and salad. Both were gorgeous and tasty selections. No detail is over looked and everything is delicious. For our main course we had the bison short rib and the filet. Again, all perfection. For dessert, we had the deconstructed s'more and the pumpkin cream brûlée. It was the perfect end to the a wonderful meal. We are looking forward to celebrating other special occasions with Artisan in the future.
Great service, the food was fantastic, the Manager called me back and got us in after telling me he didn’t have room. Our server was great, personable and did everything to make our visit.
