No reservation no dinner see you again in five years

We were recommended this place by the place we are staying. The book with local places called it “excellent” and “a favorite.” But we truly don’t see why. To start, we walked in to no one at the host stand, which is fine! People are busy. However, then the hostess/owner ? came through another door, asked if we had a reservation, and seemed pretty ticked off when I said no. At least she got us a table and wasn’t AS rude as one of the other reviews, but already the first impression was awful. Once we got a table, our waitress, Pamela, was lovely and attentive. We were shocked by the prices a bit, and honestly even more surprised when we got the food. The vodka sauce was decent, but kind of bland, the pesto was overly salty, and the penne my friend got was overcooked and falling apart. Overall, it was middle-of-the-road and quite a disappointment.

Food was pretty good. I was disappointed that pizza wasn’t on the menu. Tha marinara served with the bread was awesome. The house salad could a little tweak as the dressing was way too acidic. We also ordered a caprese salad which was very good-I especially liked the non traditional roasted red pepper that was added. The vodka sauce was lacking flavor. The Salmon special was tremendous. They are super organized so they can quickly turn the tables. Fast service. We were in and out in less than 1.5 hrs.

We had the worst meal. I had the chicken marsala which had absolutely no flavor at all. The mashed potatoes were so watery and were instant potatoes. The marsala had no flavor at all. The broccoli too hadn't any flavor. We were asked if we wanted soup or salad, so we asked for a salad. We chose their house salad, which was drenched in Italian dressing which made the salad not desirable. Our waiter Jeremy never came back to our table to ask how .our dinners were. It was a very disappointing experience. The atmosphere is nice there but the service and food were very disappointing
