Stopped in today for some coffee while I was out for a drive with the family. Walked in and it smelled like breakfast paradise but sadly no food available. Got my coffee and the gentleman working sent me off with a free muffin. Smoked trout from Charlie's smokehouse, jalapeño jam/preserve, and I believe some cream cheese. It was a very interesting combo but absolutely delicious. Merry Christmas to the folks at Gills Rock Coffee and thank you for your kindness.
Stopped in for some coffee and a sammie ... was greeted at the door by a sizeable dog. Rather off-putting to say the least. ? While waiting, some old people arrived and shuffled in 3 more dogs. At this point my appetite is completely gone and if we hadn 't already been waiting 20 minutes we would have left.It 's hard to imagine anyone believing it 's ok to have animals so close to where the food is cooked. Dander anyone??? It 's disgusting to many. Like, I get it. People think they 're fur patents and their babies can go wherever. Sorry, but that 's not ok when other 's food is involved. Keep the dogs outside in the dog park.
Really fantastic beans! This place has a great cup of coffee that I thoroughly enjoyed on our way over to Washington island!
We had coffee, turnovers and bagels. Everything was very good. The turnovers were flaky and very delicious. The bagel was lightly toasted and generously coated with butter. The owner served us and brought the bagel to our outdoor table. He was seemed appreciative of our business, which I appreciated. All servers (baristas) were well-mannered. The entire business is clean and well maintained. The indoor dining area is small but good for 4-6 people. The outdoor area is nice. There is a fenced in back yard where your dog can play. I would recommend this place.
