Our party of four thought a teddy on the way back to buffalo of Ostaurora. The owners seem to have dropped a lot into this business. Many parking spaces. Dinner on the ground floor, but we had nothing because we just finished dinner elsewhere. The bar/lounge on the upper floor is nice, but go up to enjoy drinks, is a bit out of thought for someone older or have a walking/climbing possibility. The new outdoor deck is on the smaller side with five four people tables. The view is quite beautiful with view of the brook at a distance about 150 meters away. Our whole party thought it was very overpriced when we got our drinks bill. You thought you were in a high-class dip, I can't really say we were going back. regularly.
Unbelievable! They only serve chicken, but at noon had no chicken breast! They had 2 specials on the day we went (our FIRST visit), but we said they had none of the two. No menus, but an overhead board that advises what we (like a fast food restaurant) but all they had on that day was chicken legs and legs! Unreal! Who enters an attractive restaurant to order thighs or legs?! We won't come back.
My experience in Chicken Shack is mixed. Starting with the positives. The atmosphere is excellent and can tell the owners, put great thoughts, effort and money into the place. The outdoor seating area will be great when the warm weather arrives. The selection of beers and drinks is the exclusive beer of 42 North fantastic. The staff was also nice and friendly. Neutral on the sides we have of green and green beans. Collard Greens had a beautiful spices and beans had beautiful savory taste. The negative, and why I give a two-star rating, is the chicken. It was bad. I have the mixed meal for $12. It came with a thigh, drum and three wings. The drum was big. The thigh was on the smaller size. The wings were pathetic. Little to no meat. The chicken was lukewarm and the bread was bland, soggy and chew. This is a chicken restaurant and the chicken was not good, not even moderate. In Buffalo we make wings, fried chicken, perfection. I get that this is fried south and there are differences, but the lack of taste and freshness is inevitable. I want this place to succeed as the atmosphere is great. But as a chicken restaurant, I can't recommend it.
Really good! Had the fried chicken breasts, collard greens and Mac n cheese. There was plenty of meat, very tender. Restaurant has a very nice interior and atmosphere. Definitely Recommended! Yes, it costs more than fast food. Worth it!
