Pearl Of China - Elmbridge

We chose this restaurant for a family celebration on our wedding day with 13 guests. We would highly recommend Pearl of China for their excellent attention to detail, not only before our special day but also on the day. The food was gorgeous and served with smiles. Had a takeaway. Normally the quality is excellent, but not this time. Chicken and prawns chewy and Singapore noodles not great. New chef? Hope for a return to form.

We booked for a birthday celebration and when we asked to increase our party size slightly a few days beforehand they accommodated that with no problem. Upon arrival they’d put up some birthday decorations and even came out at the end of our meal with a candle in a scoop of ice cream, complete with happy birthday being played over their speaker system! One of the waitresses even took some photos of the group to send to us via email afterwards which was a lovely touch. And now onto the food, it was so so good and came out relatively quickly with good spacing between each course. We all went for set menu A which left us all happy although too full for dessert. My particular favourites were the honey rib starter and the sweet and sour chicken main. My only regret about our visit is that we hadn’t come here sooner despite living embarrassingly close for quite a while now. We will be back!

We discovered this place through a leaflet for their takeaway. We’ve been looking for a good Chinese restaurant for a while, so thought we’d give it a try. We had smoked chicken, Mongolian lamb skewers and vegetable spring rolls for starters and Cantonese fillet steak, salt and pepper bean curd, and chicken fried rice for main. All of the food was excellent and served in generous portions. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the service was good. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will definitely go back again.

Great food and super efficient delivery service one of the best Chinese meals we’ve had for a long time. I would highly recommend.
