The restaurant has a gorgeous ambiance, fantastic service, and the food is absolutely delicious!

The staff was very friendly. I left a generous tip because the steak I had was the best I've had in years.

This restaurant embodies the essence of Elmira! The food is delicious and reasonably priced. The atmosphere alone makes it worth a visit.

We live on Long Island, NY and we have three German restaurants within 14 miles of us.But none of those restaurant’s German food comes anywhere close to the quality the Octoberfest dinners Charlies Café offered us.The food was just delicious. Absolutely the best potato pancakes I have ever tasted. And the red cabbage was freshly made, not something preprocessed.My Pork Schnitzel was crisp and tasty and my wife raved about her Stuffed Cabbage. I tasted it and it wasn’t the standard dull, mild meal so common everywhere else but had a tasty flavor to it.We were here in Elmira just one night and totally glad we visited Charlies Café.

Decadent and delicious food, warm and friendly service, full bar and nice wine list. A gem in its area.
