The floor you had to walk down a very long corridor and have to pull your luggage onto the stairs. When I asked for something down for health questions, they accommodated us and the room was much better. The bed was good and the room was very clean. Spent 4 nights there as we had a wedding to visit and spent a few days to tour. As already mentioned, breakfast was very good (Brote, Müsli, Pancake, Sausage, Fruit, Yoghurt, Tea/Coffee/Just etc.) with eggs (from the friendly owner) to your wishes. It is located directly on the road from the main road in downtown with many restaurants walking. Look for the stork/nest on the roof!
Had a good stay at this old hotel. Our room was comfortable, but dated. A small bath as what we experienced on our vacation, but it was okay. Our room was quiet, which was very appreciated. Too bad you have to go all the way to the end of a very long hall to take the stairs to the second floor. Breakfast was well made with eggs to your pleasure. Overall, it was a good experience. We'd stay there again.
After an exhausting road trip from Vancouver to the Arctic Circle and back, I arrived in Smithers and checked into this charming inn. I had a wonderfully restful night's sleep. However, there was an issue with the bathroom door—it had a towel rack on it, making it difficult to close properly. They should consider adding proper hooks to the back of the door. Additionally, a significant drawback of this small hotel is the lack of an elevator, which was a hassle since I had heavy luggage to carry up the stairs. Despite these drawbacks, this inn is fantastic. It was impeccably clean, and I would highly recommend it. The breakfast was a delightful bonus as well!
The room was quite basic and lacked any frills. The bathroom only had soap, so make sure to bring your own shampoo. The bed was not very comfortable, and the room itself felt quite outdated, but it was clean. Breakfast was a highlight, with made-to-order eggs served with a smile by a friendly staff member. The location is convenient, with coffee shops and restaurants just a four-minute walk away. It is also easy to reach.
After a long day of driving, we spent the night at this hotel, and it was a very comfortable stay that exceeded our expectations. The staff was wonderful, and we enjoyed a fantastic breakfast before hitting the road again. Although the hotel is a bit older, it is very well maintained, and our room was exceptionally clean. We would certainly choose to stay here again.
