The service was good but the pulled pork sandwich with awesome. You know you're in the right place when you arrive as the aroma surrounds you when you park out front. There is very good parking for motorcycles. The mirrors on the wall, as you walk towards bathrooms are a hoot. We will stop here every time we go north towards Traverse City. I strongly recommend it to anyone who is taking their motorcycle up to ride M 22. It's not nearly as expensive as the restaurants in Traverse City and north.
Waitress brought my Mom a completely watered down Iced Tea. We let the waitress know, and she says Oh, yeah it 's been broken and I don 't know how to fix it . Wow. So the waitress KNOWINGLY brought a bad drink out to a customer instead of saying Sorry we 're out of Iced Tea in the first place. My Mom then asked for coffee and the waitress told us that it would take 30 minutes to brew coffee. 30 minutes? My mom settled for a cup of hot water and some Spartan brand tea bags. Now let 's talk about the food. I ordered the Pulled Pork Nachos. Not only were the tortilla chips STALE, but they were the cheap ass circle shaped yellow corn chips like you get from the nacho bar at a gas station. On top of that, the pulled pork on the nachos was bland, like it barely had any smoke flavor. I asked for sour cream, because you 'd think a plate of nachos would come with that particular condiment. They didn 't have any. My parents both got the Beef Brisket Dinner with baked beans, fried green tomatoes, and corn bread. The beef brisket was tough and they couldn 't tell if it had even been smoked. It was totally bland, no smoke flavor, and the cut had too much fat. The fried green tomatoes desperately needed seasoning in the batter, they were somewhat better with a few shakes of salt and pepper but good lord were they flavorless. The baked beans tasted like Bush 's Baked Beans from a can, and they may have actually been just that. The corn bread was dry and old like it was from yesterday. My overall impression of this place is that it 's absolutely terrible. Whoever gave this place good reviews either works there or doesn 't know any better. Just bad. And my Mom still gave the waitress a 15% tip because she 's too damn nice to people who don 't deserve it. Don 't eat here.
