Absolutely recommended! we made the 3 hours bratlparty here as a 12s group. rarely experienced such a great service! super nice staff, they feel absolutely good here. eat absolutely top and at the best price! so on, we hopefully come back to salzburg to the next bratlparty!
Very good food. beautiful large garden. prices for the portions ok.
This Bar/Restaurant with small beer garden is just out of the town, about 25 mins walk from the main bridge over the River Salz, on opposite side from the old town, or electric Bus 6 takes you almost to the door. Unusually for a Salzburg...Bar they serves beers from several different breweries, and have a monthly guest beer (at time of our visit it was Czech Budvar) We tried the regular Murauer Marzen and the Gosser Zwickle, and both were excellent and decent price €3.90 half litre. They have a comprehensive food menu of local dishes and pizza etc at decent prices. The Bar area has three large rooms with various tables seating from 4 to 8 as well as bar stools. The outside beer garden has about 20 tables under trees and canopies. Both interior and beer garden is popular with locals for the beer selection and food. English was spoken by staff who served us, and an English Menu is available. This is a bit out of the way if on a day trip but definately worth looking out for if you are staying here for some days and have the time. Opens 11.30am or 12mid-day, closes midnight. See the web page for exact location, menus etc.
