Has never disappointed me both in fish or meat dishes (this time had the Ceviche to start and an Entrecote as main). When i go there I always drink Ohitza red wine which is light fruity and goes with everything.
We were expecting Spanish food and it wasn't really like that. The manchego cheese was cut so it didn't show its best version. The extremely spicy, dry marmitako was rather a stew... other dishes such as tuna pier, foie with a rugged cherry, truffle risotto ? , pato leg confitada.... They are definitely not Spanish dishes or not of Spanish or Basque popular gastronomy. High price for the quality we feel receive. Good oil and acceptable bread.
Our absolute favourite already for several years, we keep on returning there for the excellent service by Andrea and her team. The food is lovely we took the new assortment of pinxtos (Basque tapas) and it was divine. The wine cart presents the best of the Basque region and the terrace in the sun makes you dream of summer holidays.
The food is wonderful and creative. Atmosphere is very nice and staff very friendly. Service was a bit on the slow side when we were there, but I guess it was a busy night.
Dishes were excellent, quantity very good! Service was good, even though a little too intrusive. Overall quite expensive, not sure we would have appreciated it that much if it wasn’t for the 50% discount
