Great little pub for a Sunday lunchIt gets busy, so the service can be a bit slow sometimes, but its got good atmosphere.

Great little oasis. Refreshing. Food was fabulous. Staff warm & helpful. Beer cold, beer garden like a welcoming backyard. A great place to stop & chill. An old-fashioned pub feel with clean, friendly & modern service. A must.

Just do yourself a favour and go! ;) great food and friendly staff :) we loved it and will definitely go back next time we're in the Byron shire. Try the calamari ;)

You have two choices- bar food or restaurant. I had the lovely warm roast salad with large chunks of eggplant etc while my wife enjoyed the pie from the bar menu. We both enjoyed the meals. Our friends had the pumpkin soup and could not finish the large bowl and they enjoyed that as well. The staff were very helpful and efficient. If we pass this way again we will certainly stop in.

We returned to this pub restaurant at the request of friends for a Saturday lunch. The restaurant is located across two spaces - one indoor and air conditioned; the other in what we call "the stockade" which is a covered patio area open on three sides. It was a cool and rainy Saturday but our table wasn't affected. Space heaters took the chill off the air and while some found it too hot, we were quite comfortable. We were seated at a table of nine and we were nicely spaced from each other and from other diners. Our meals arrived promptly, beautifully presented on the plate and presented by a smiling and efficient wait person. I had the Traditional Cobb Salad with charred King Prawns. The Prawns were huge, perfectly cooked and succulent. The salad itself was fresh, generous, tasty and dressed with a beautiful blue cheese dressing. I shared a very generous side of chips with two others - they were very nice too. My partner had the pork belly and loved it. The crackling 'cracked' with a loud snap which delivered lots of smiles. It again was a tasty and generous meal. Our other diners enjoyed the pork pie. The new chef at The Eltham has made a huge difference in providing diners with good, fresh, quality food even though it could be considered an expensive pub meal for the local area. But when it was this good you don't mind paying. Would recommend this restaurant.
