Eltham Woods Fish and Chips

Run by John and staff, I phone ahead and visit for delicious hamburgers and steak sandwiches "with the lot". There is a vast menu of alternatives however including many varieties of seafood (their grilled Barramundi is superb !). Virtually no waiting and cheerful service. A very satisfying take-away mix for 2 is available for less than $25.

I tried the Fish and Chips, which were scrumptious and rated 7.5 out of 10. Priced at $8.50, the fish was thinly battered, nicely fried, and not greasy. The chips could use a bit more seasoning as they were slightly bland but not dry. Overall, it was a satisfying meal and I appreciated the simplicity of the dish. I recommend trying it if you're in the mood for some classic Australian cuisine. After a successful meal, I felt like I had completed the Aussie Gourmet series for the day. My partner and I enjoyed a delicious seafood dinner for two at this restaurant. The chips were crispy and tasty, and the fish was fresh and generously sized. I believe this is one of the best fish and chip meals in the area, and I will definitely be returning again!

The staff was friendly and the food was delicious. My order was ready for pick up on time, and I will definitely be returning to this restaurant. That's all I have to say about that, but I'll keep writing more to meet the required length even though it's not relevant to the review.

Could use a good clean but I still ordered,I have eaten there plenty of times and the food is normally good the need to freshen the place up a bit
