I recommend the different menus. there is a small eagle dinner and a large eagle dinner. the products used are always fresh and hearty cellar has a very own philosophy regarding cooking and product. the prices are slightly increased, but for this, eating in the eagle economy is a culinary experience. the offered Rheingauer wines are affordable and high quality.
This former star cook had his Restaurant in lovely Hattenheim. Try the Steaks and you will be spoiled for Future steaks. Not cheap, but worth it
The ambiance is very nice inside, as well as on the terrace. It is of a rustic elegance. The Adler Wirschaft therefore has the setting for a great place, but it is too full of oneself to be enjoyed. When you read the menue, you...find that they actually have the nerve to REQUIRE you to order an appetizer as well as the main meal. They are shocked when you don 't find any of their appetizers suitable and you promise to have dessert (so not to decline their income). The quality of the food ranges from average to good. It 's definitely overrated. And to top it off, the menue states that ony clueless people could order a good piece of meat and want it well done, and that every cook that pities his good meat not pitying the customer here! would refuse this request and would then, at most, use the worst piece of meat in the house. The owner then states that he (graciously) accepts it if his guests don 't want to eat their meat rare or medium rare, but then they need to eat less good cuts, e.g. the shoulder or neck, stewed. I am not exaggerating, this is all in the menue (at least the German one). Due to this extremely opinionated and arrogant attitude we will never return to the Adler Wirtschaft. We will leave it for those who enjoy The Emperor 's New Clothes .
My husband and I found this charming restaurant by chance, and stopped in. Reservations are recommended but they were able to seat us. The food was fantastic, not a large menu. Each course was fresh made and in. Between we were surprised with delicacies from...the Chef. We will definitely return.
We made a reservation in advance, as recommended by a friend who wrote an article on Franz Keller. It was a beautiful, romantic place with incredible food and local wine. Worth the trip from anywhere. Bring cash......lots of it!
