I followed with the solomillo......tough as old boots!! In all my life,I’ve never had a fillet steak tough!!! The wine was also over priced. My advice would be to look elsewhere ....
El Suquet was recommended by our hotel, Melia Alicante. We eventually found it and the waiter was very pleasant. We asked for the English Menu which they had. He recommended a choice of wine which was lovely and the Stir Fried Chicken with vegetables was superb. We went back on the Saturday. We had another waiter who could speak very good English. There was a waitress there who was not very attentive at all. We were trying to get her attention and she was constantly on her phone but nevertheless, it was a nice restaurant.
When you walk into a restaurant and are immediately welcomed it 's a good start. All the staff were dressed in the same shirts with the name of the restaurant on the collars. Always a good start. We stopped for lunch on the way to the airport and we choose well. Yes you need to speak Spanish but we are in Spain....!! 'Menu Del Dia two choices for each course both were delicious. Postres, we both had Flan which was home made and quality. Along with a good bottle of red wine and coffee the bill was €20, good value for what was a clean we 'll run restaurant. We will definitely return.
