What an enjoyable evening for dinner. Caroline our server was great. First off the croissants are sweet to the taste and savory. Melt in your mouth delicious. My wife had the shrimp skewers side salad and sweet potato fries. I had the ribeye sandwich. The ribeye wa cooked just right. Very tender considering it wasn't shaved meat. Both meals were excellent. I would also recommend the loaded baked potato with bacon, scallions, and cheddar cheese as well as the potato bacon soup. We enjoyed the booth we sat in and we will be back. Tyler H. Ohio
Our waitress was great. The food was yummy and the Cresent rolls were AMAZINGLY GOOD! This restaurant is a must when visiting Emerald Isle.
Our family came here to eat dinner on our only night eating out. We called 30 minutes ahead and was told that we had to be separated and not sat together, which was fine because we thought that they would at least sit us beside each other and would be able to talk to our family but no they sat us in a booth where we couldn’t see nor talk to our family. Noted we waited an hour to be seated for food that was okay at best the service was okay at first then went down hill after we ate and when we got our tickets we had separate tickets and separate reservations so not a large party) we noticed that there was a gratuity of 20% for a large party there was only 5 of us at the table the five at the other table so we wasn’t a large party so we asked our waitress Laurel why we had this on our ticket and she said that we was a large party but our ticket only said 5 guest we wasn’t trying to short her tips because we had someone that worked as waitress at our table so we know they live off their tips we just wanted to know why it was a large party before we could finish she was like want to speak to a manager which was no help anyways) and before the manager even got back to our table Laurel slammed new tickets on the table and walked away then she came back to get our tickets she said “sorry you had a disappointing experience” she took the gratuity off) well after we paid the bill she decided to want to start grabbing the trash and sauces off the table rudely) so we left a smaller tip then we was going to leave her because of her being rude after we left she wanted to come out the door and scream “thank you so much” at my family while we was walking back to the car.
Our “large” party of 10 were sat separately after going through the dining room and seeing several other parties (of 6-8 guests) sat together with tables pushed together—which we requested, but were denied. The food wasn’t great. The croissants and sweet potato fries were the best thing on my plate. Although our party was sat separately, they added a “large party gratuity” to our check, which would’ve been fine, IF we could’ve sat together and actually been able to enjoy dinner together (after waiting an hour, we didn’t want to find another place). Once we asked why we had been tipped as a large party, our server, Laurel became very rude and ill with us saying things that were sarcastic and unprofessional. She threw our new checks (which we didn’t ask for, but simply asked about the act) on the table and stormed away before sending the manager out—who was no help. We were still willing to tip in cash, but after Laurel came back and snatched up our table trash and dishes, we decided that her attitude was poor and we left without tipping. Laurel then decided to come outside and yell at our family for not tipping.
