Dos Charros Tex Mex - Emory

I took my brother to this restaurant for his 81st birthday, as it was his choice. It was our first time dining there, and we were pleasantly surprised. The food was fantastic, the staff were incredibly friendly, and the service was excellent. The restaurant was also very clean. Overall, a wonderful experience!

We enjoyed a delightful Tex-Mex experience filled with some unique dishes. We tried the chimichanga, carne asada, and seafood-stuffed chili. The fideo was tasty, while the carne asada was slightly bland, but a little salt, pepper, and lime did the trick. The chili relleno del mar was an interesting concept and tasty, though the seafood flavor was quite pronounced. I personally loved it because I enjoy seafood. The chimichanga looked fantastic and was delicious as well. The regular margarita was strong enough, but I decided to be adventurous and ordered the top-shelf version, which includes an extra shot on top. It's incredibly strong! I feel quite tipsy after just one. I'm definitely coming back for two next time!

This is a decent Tex-Mex restaurant located in a small town. If you set your expectations accordingly, you’re likely to enjoy your experience.

I have gone in Dos Charros twice. The first time was a few years ago and I was met with an unfriendly welcome. It took quite some time to get my to-go order placed, because no one would acknowledge me. Therefore, I was hesitant going in today, but it was only one of few options. Again, it was clear I was not welcome. The same older man that was there the first time, was there today. I assume he is the owner. I waited patiently for the opportunity to order as he took care of everyone else first. Finally, I placed my order. Moments later he came back with my order. I believe I thanked him and then said, “I have one more order.” He rolled his eyes, sighed, and turned his head from me mumbling under his breath. I would think any business man would be excited to get more business, but I guess some business isn’t welcome. I felt horrible and instantly regretted I gave Dos Charros any of my business at all!! I do not recommend this place. This occurred 7.7.24
