Emu Hall Kitchen - EMU PLAINS

My friends ordered their meals, but I found the breakfast burger to be quite mediocre. The bun tasted like a generic store brand, and the bacon was underwhelming. In my previous visits, I would have rated the food as average, but the service this time was absolutely terrible, especially considering there were so many employees on staff.

We waited far too long for someone to take our coffee orders—30 minutes passed before one person came to take our first orders, and then another took the second round. It was another wait before someone finally delivered the coffees, and yet another person came to take our breakfast orders. I had to ask three times for them to take our orders, and at no point did I feel confident that our orders would be delivered correctly or promptly. The food was decent, but it arrived 40 minutes after we had ordered. The service was appalling, and there seemed to be a significant lack of organization among the staff, which made things worse. Despite the presence of at least 10 employees, I expected much better service. We were attended to by at least six different people throughout our visit. I truly believe that the staff could benefit from better training in customer service, as many basic expectations were not met. I provided feedback on the day, but received no meaningful explanation for the issues we encountered, just a half-hearted apology. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this establishment to anyone in Penrith. I urge you to consider other options near Glenbrook that can offer a better dining experience.

I recently dined in for lunch and had a wonderful experience. The meal was very affordable, coming in at just $1–$20 per person. I would rate the food a strong 5 out of 5—it was absolutely delicious! The service was attentive and friendly, earning a solid 4 out of 5. The atmosphere of the restaurant was vibrant and inviting, easily deserving a 5 out of 5. I highly recommend trying the pita stand and the lamb skewer; they were the highlights of my meal. Overall, it was a fantastic lunchtime outing!

Customer service ever! ordered drinks and entree, waitress did not return to take lunch, we had to find someone who has to do this. ordered more drinks that have never come to us. waited 15 minutes for the service here also. then we mentioned the last 2 drinks that we did not pay because we did not get them to which the answer was apologised that I forgot! would not recommend and will not be back.

We recently had our work Christmas Party with a group of 25 people We all had the most amazing time. The service was excellent from start to end. The staff were friendly and attentive and the food and drinks, oh my gosh, AMAZING! plentiful and delicious. Timing of all the courses was seamless, with staff making sure of our desired timing it was very professionally handled. The atmosphere was great, with music on the verandah giving a great vibe, and the view of the river, as the sun went down....just beautiful. I highly recommend Emu Hall for your next function, definitely value for money.
