Alice's Italian Gourmet - Encinitas

I was so excited to try this place! While I will start out with a positive, the owners (I assume) were sweethearts and the food was hot and fresh. I walked in, got a to go order with a glass of wine. Wine was delivered promptly, unfortunately, I waited over an hour for my one baked pasta. At about 45 minutes in I asked for some bread. It was brought to me without butter and without a napkin roll up. I finally got a knife and butter but it was slammed down by a kid with unkept hair. This place is busy! I get it, please just give a heads up the food is on its way we haven 't forgotten about you. The food will bring me back but I will order well in advance on the telephone.

We started going to Alice’s about two years ago, and I have to say it is the best Italian that we have had ever! Alice’s and Carlo are absolutely so kind and accommodating. Their food is always on point and never disappoints we highly recommend a date night out at their restaurant. I would recommend making a reservation because they can get pretty busy.

Authentic and so delicious! I ordered Calamari Luciana. Which is Sautéed calamari in a zesty marinara sauce.
