As I followed them in my car they were apparently calling around to find where we could still sit down and have a pizza and beer. Brothers 2 met our need. Our party of 4 would be the only ones in the dining room, but we could easily hear that it was trivia night in the bar. While they were loud, they didn't really prevent us from carrying on a conversation in our booth. But at times it was distracting as we tried to come up with the answer to some of the questions that we heard. Our waitress was new, so she had to look at her cheat sheet to reply to our question of what beers were on tap. The two of us who ordered beer chose the Yuengling Lord Chesterfield Ale. The waitress returned to say they were only able to get one more glass of it poured before the keg kicked. I being the visitor in town, was given the Lord Chesterfield while the other beer drinker had a traditional Yuengling Lager. With each member of our party trying to be polite, the answer to the question of what should we get on the pizza (16 ; $9.50) ended up deferring to the individual who seemed to have the most limited preference. She said she liked chicken, and chicken speedies was listed as a $2 topping option. Pizza is a personal thing. The style served here is the thin, New York, fold-it-in-half to eat it style. It had a decent, not to sweet sauce and an adequate amount of cheese. There did not appear to be too much chicken scattered around as a topping, probably because the pieces were so small. But the flavor of the marinated chicken came through and was quite good. I would still consider asking for a double portion if I were to order it again. If other restaurants in this area also serve pizza with speedies on it, I'd be interested in trying those places for a fair comparison.
An average, if somewhat dated Italian/American restaurant. This place has been around a million years, and it both looks and feels that way, but somehow it works. Recent effort on promoting a variety of craft beer, include some taps devoted to local breweries, raise this place up a notch. Prices are outstandingly inexpensive.
Endicott native here. The plain cheese droopy thin crust pizza gets six stars; it's that good. But since not everyone on yelp grew up in Endicott/Endwell, I'm lowering the overall review to 4 stars to reflect some of the things that non-natives will dislike about the place. Yes, it's dated. Yes, the staff can be less than....well, less than they should be. And I don't know about the non-pizza stuff; I've never tried it. But this review is aimed at hardcore old school NY style pizza lovers. And you MUST try it. The pizza is so thin that it almost doesn't exist. And that's meant to be a compliment, not a criticism, since us hard core NY style freaks absolutely hate poofy, cakey Domino's pan style garbage. You have to know what you're doing to succeed at serving pizza that is this thin. And these guys do! I can't comment about the cheese and the sauce any more than I can comment about why 57 Chevys are beautiful. Either you get it or you don't. The real star here is the crust. Slightly sweet, it reminds me of reallly old school Southern or Eastern European dough. Like in letckis or really good kolacki. The kind it takes a lifetime to master. Order a large cheese and a pitcher of birch beer (similar to root beer). And be prepared to rave about both. If you're looking for hipsterettes to impress or customized selfie sticks: Brooklyn is about 180 miles southeast on Route 17.
I had linguini with red clam sauce and was surprised by how good it was! The sauce, portion and quality were all perfect. It also came with a side salad and rolls which were ok. I wasn't too crazy about the pizza. But I will say, we called a half hour before they closed and had great service. Everything was hot and ready on time.
Do yourself a favor, order in person. When you call they can 't hear you, and you can 't hear them most of the time because music, or loud voices. When you order online, it 's not correct. Ordered online and waited the twenty minutes to get my food. Got there and they never placed my order. The order was face down by the computer. When I asked, I was just given I don 't know. not even a sorry just that I will have to wait. Not the first problem, but the last.
