Ennis Gourmet Store

Upon arrival, we found a table outside and ordered coffee. The waiter promptly took our order. As we waited to be served, more customers arrived, but there was no available seating. The waiter then abruptly informed us, while delivering our coffee, that we had 5 minutes to drink it and vacate the table as it had been reserved. This was not communicated to us when we placed our order, and no apology was offered. When I requested to speak with the manager, he was even more impolite, insisting that we leave to make room for potentially higher-spending patrons. He expected us to pay for the coffee despite the poor treatment. We will not be returning due to the terrible customer service.

During our recent visit to Ennis from Dublin, we enjoyed a fantastic lunch at this Gourmet Store prepared by Anne, one of the owners. We also indulged in a bottle of wine. It was a delightful treat. Thank you to Anne and Tom for a wonderful experience.

The owner of the restaurant is a kind man, but Tom Rafter was rude, arrogant, and snickering behind people's backs.

On a recent visit in Ennis we popped into the Gourmet Store on a recommendation and were very glad we did! We had a delicious lunch food is first class, and Tom, who was looking after us was very welcoming and attentive (and an excellent source of insider tips for things to do). If you are in Ennis for a few days or just passing through, I'd urge you to do yourself a favour and put in a stop there!

I was there today, food only ok service terrible! The man that was serving, think it was the owner, was too busy talking to people he knew to serve properly. Had to ask twice for a drink and for salt and pepper and when I finished meal he took my plate and did not ask did I want anything else so had to call someone else who brought the wrong coffee! There was a young girl there who was just as bad, think she was new but she would need a lot more training. Nice to sit in sun but would not go back.
