Cloister - Ephrata

I visited this restaurant with friends for Saturday breakfast and we could immediately tell that it had been recently renovated — the interior looks fantastic. However, it seems they might still be training some staff, as I noticed one of our chairs was a bit wobbly, but it wasn't a major issue. The avocados were not quite ripe, and the domestic fries were a bit different from what I'm used to, but overall the food was still quite good! The staff were polite and efficient.

The food and service were outstanding. I will definitely return. The only reason I'm giving this a 4-star rating instead of 5 is that the avocado in the salad was hard and didn't have much flavor. I ordered the summer salad with grilled chicken, while my wife had the crab cake with macaroni and cheese and roasted tomatoes. Everything was really delicious.

Excellent! I'm really impressed. This must be one of the friendliest restaurants I've ever visited. Everyone was so warm and welcoming. My meal was cooked to perfection and arrived promptly. The portion sizes are generous, as are the prices. I will definitely return to support this business!

On Saturday. It was bad weather, so it wasn't full. The staff was pleasant and friendly, the atmosphere was very typical diner (what I like). The service was very fast. Menu was a great choice! Prices seemed slightly high, but reasonable. I have a Philadelphia-style burger (with roasted onions, mushrooms, peppers and cheese, tomatoes, salad and onions). It came with Pommes, Coleslaw and a pimple. Burger was ok, but nothing special not sure why, but only not much taste. I had better. Friends were the best I had. Hot, crisp, tastefully just great! Our whole food was hot, by the way. My wife got the veal parmesan sandwich they enjoyed. The meat was okay. The role was wonderfully hot and roasted. The sauce and cheese were very good. And of course the same wonderful pommes! She also got veggie soup that was fine. Portions were huge. I barely finished mine. Altogether, cute place, good food, great pommes.

Got fish. Fresh and cooked just right. Server made the difference as she was kind and knowledgeable. Took good care of us. Great place to relax and eat a good meal. Clean and bright. Obviously the owner takes pride in business and the servers. And oohhh, those desserts!
