Great place to visit if you have all day to even be acknowledged let alone served. Don’t expect a smile, please or thank you

After walking through Ongar it started to rain, so we arrived for our booked afternoon tea a little early. No problem, we were welcomed to sit in shelter by a pleasant waitress, served a drink gratis and waited for the remainder of our group. The cream tea was lovely scones, a variety of sandwiches and mini cakes with a choice of beverages . Made our trip to Ongar memorable. Thank you.

Absolutely lovely cream tea and all the trimmings. Staff could not be more helpful. The breakfast looked beautiful we will be back
