Izakaya - Ericeira

We went to Izakaya several times during our stay in Ericeira. The food is excellent and it has a very reasonable price. The restaurant is located over Praia dos Pescadores and you can see the sunset from your inside table. It is owned by a nice family, the husband cooks the sushi, the wife serves the tables, and they have a sweet boy and a girl that play outside with their bikes. Nice ambiance and very recommendable place.

This is a fixed price sushi restaurant where you can order as many dishes from the menu as you like as often as you like. Drinks and Desserts are extra. The food was great, to be honest i hadn't set my expectations very high so i was surprised by the quality and taste. The menu had quite a range and although we ordered a lot we didn't find any dish that was less than great. The service did take a little getting used to, the lady who served us didn't speak any English so to order you are supplied with some paper and a pen and you write down the numbers of the dishes you want, but this worked fine so no issues. food service was a little slow but we were in no rush so it wasn't a problem. Lunch is about 11euros and dinner is about 13euros. I would definitely give it a go if you like this style of food because it was a good if not better than anything i have had in the UK. And don't worry if you don't like raw fish or are a vegetarian because there were plenty of dishes to choose from

We ordered across the menu and everyone was happy. A real family affair with Mum & Dad serving and preparing. Having it all you can eat was good too but we ate all we ordered. Think we will be back

It was supposed to be all you can eat sushi = heaven! But it was mostly deep fried and rice, not a whole lot of rice. We paid €40 for 2 adults, 2 kids and water. Not very good value.

Great quality sushi. You order sushi a la carte however you pay a fixed price which means you can eat withou limits. I loved the staff. Only point to improve is the smell inside of the restaurant.
