Took a friend to try Yum Cha for the first time and chose Dragon's door as it's local and fairly priced. The food was outstanding- so fresh and very flavourful! My friend was impressed, as was I! Service was excellent and friendly. No bill shock! We will definitely be back, and be bringing our kids next time.
I enjoy yum cha and have eaten here a few times as it is the only option on the coast (that I know of). The food is nice but have had better yum cha. Sydney is a little far for a quick feed. It is not all that cheap either.
We have friends who swear the dim sum in Erina is the best they've had so we decided to give it a go. It is a huge restaurant and we arrived when it opened so had no troubles getting a seat. I like that they still go old school with the carts being rolled around. The service is quick and friendly and the dim sum is good and it's not as far a drive to Sydney so I'd go again. After reading other reviews, the mango pancakes sound like the dessert to try, so I'll have to add that to our table the next time we come around.
