Malo In Des Mo

The blackened chicken Cobb salad was amazing and enormous! I went there for my birthday and found that they give out free deserts. I got the churro sundae and it was also amazing. Our waitress was really nice and helpful as well.

Came here for my daughter’s 18th birthday, we had a great time Food was good, service was great We will be back

Been in and out of food service.. nachos were almost awesome as they told me all contents were on the side until I got home and clack bean porridge was poured over top of my chips making a soggy soup and I had to doctor up with jalapeno pulled pork bbq and Sriracha. I found their minimal sauces to be atrocious and no sour cream but little avocado not even guac.. and the salad toppers were vague and minimal for a nacho.. I was nice to give two stars! The photos I provide are afte my doctoring!!! I should have added feta, or Gorgonzola/blue cheese, or goat cheese… as preferences on a menu from a culinary art.

We came into Des Moines for a show and had a great time. Malo is a great spot with a spacious outdoor section, quality food, and a friendly staff. Highly recommend!

Tasty! Not too expensive and right next to the convention center.
