The restaurant has a beautiful and quiet terrace, unfortunately, this the only positive thing one can say about it. The food is really bad. We were 4 people from Mallorca having lunch. So we can really tell whether it is a good or bad balearic cuisine restaurant. We ordered 'berenjenas rellenas ' (stuffed eggplant), which is a classic dish in the Balearic Islands, and it was terrible. It was stuffed with very little meat, the tomato sauce tasted as if it came from a tin can and the quality of the eggplant itself was pretty low. We also ordered a paella. Same thing. One of the worst paellas I have ever had. We did not eat much of it. The rice was overcooked, the tin canned tomato sauced spoiled all the taste, the seafood was scarce,...This restaurant basically makes money because there is nothing else in the beach or in the way to beach. It is a monopoly. There were obviously no locals having lunch there, just tourists. All locals must know it is a place to avoid.
Visited this restaurant today after visiting it 2 years ago on my first trip to menorca and remembering it fondly! Happy to report that it’s still being run by lovely staff and still has a view to kill for under the shade of some trees in the expansive outdoor area. The staff were busy catering to a large party while we were there and unfortunately by the time we arrived the kitchen had closed which the staff were hugely apologetic about but the food looked incredible if that’s any indication with what appeared to be the owner bringing our food himself and clearly taking great pride in it! A great place to stop and take in the sights but we will be returning with empty stomachs to try the food next time!
Pedimos unas puntillitas y un pulpo a la gallega y ambos estaban deliciosos, el servicio fue muy amable, especialmente el chico que llevaba las Jordans, ¡a ese chaval hay que subirle el sueldo!
