Centro In Des Mo

I frequently take groups here for work outings and I always have a great experience. The servers are very personable and have recommendations ready for my clients when they ask. The Centro team is very knowledgeable and happily accommodates my clients requests. I always appreciate how prompt the food service as well. Centro has the best pork chop I have ever had, a big deal Iowa!

Wandered in off the road and discovered a gem! Great Italian food, homemade pasta, drinks and wine pours generous and refreshing. Our luncheon entrees were perfect and we knew we would be a little overwhelmed by the portions. Delicious and prepared with an eye to flavor. Our server Heather was delightful, perfectly attentive and solicitous of our enjoyment of the dining experience in this historic venue. We want to come back for dinner next time we’re in town.

Excellent good, every item on the menu is given full attention and effort from the kitchen. Quality is the main theme at Centro, consistently good food.

I'd rate you guys higher, but we had the worst service today. My mom and I were in around 1:00 p.m. We both ordered salads and an app of portobello fries. The food was awesome, our waitress was horrible. We had to remind her of things several times. My mom asked for no cheese on her salad and to sub the dressing with something else. First the salad came out with cheese. The remake came out with incorrect dressing. We had already been waiting quite a while so we just dealt with the incorrect dressing and didn't say anything. She then asked if I wanted a refill on my drink, I said yes. No refill. Then she asked if I wanted a box for my food I said yes, one for the fries and one for the soup. She came out with a box for the salad and nothing for the soup. Again, I had to remind her.

Service (host and server) was extremely slow. Food was mediocre with the fettuccine pasta not being creamy and lacking flavor besides salt and pepper. Place was extremely loud for being someplace slightly fancier, and it wasn't even a full house. For the price, just not worth it. You can find better for cheaper.
