We arrived around 6:30 PM on a Saturday night, and we should have realized something was off when there were only four tables occupied, including ours. They had run out of ice, and the food took an eternity to arrive. We were told three times that it would be out shortly. Finally, we were assured it was coming right out, but it took almost another 15 minutes. We seriously worried about the possibility of food poisoning. My father-in-law's rice was cold, my wife's dish looked unappetizing, and she could hardly eat it. My chimichanga was bland and lacked any seasoning. One of the servers was actually watching videos on her phone in the dining area. The same server loudly commented as she went back to the kitchen about a customer who arrived shortly after 7 PM: "We close at 8, and I sure as hell ain’t staying late." Do yourself a favor and go to La Cantina instead.
Update: I finally got my food, and it was honestly the worst meal I've had in at least two years. I didn’t realize there was a national shortage of seasonings, and I had no idea ground beef could be cooked with so much water and so little salt that it was basically a wet napkin. If I squeeze the ground beef, I expect fat to come out, not water. I could go on, but to sum it up, the food was just disgusting—nothing was seasoned, and it was as greasy as Saudi Arabia. If you’re thinking about trying this restaurant, I urge you to head down the street to Taco Bell instead. You'll get better food, higher quality, and lower prices, with a maximum wait time of five minutes. I have an extreme amount of disdain for this place; it’s hard to believe that anyone could be this incompetent on their own. Someone had to make the decision to serve this slop, and it’s telling that when I brought the leftovers home, even my chickens didn’t want to eat the terrible beans and veggies. Whoever prepared the meal in front of me should feel a deep sense of shame.
The chimichanga was drenched in salsa, making it soggy and overwhelming with a strong vinegar taste.
This used to be a destination for us but boy has it changed. Food was not good at all. We actually didn't eat much of any of it after waiting almost 90mins with 4 small tables in restaurant. Waitstaff was not attentive at all to any of the tables in the restaurant. We didn't complain and left our server a great tip and decided that was our last visit.
Terrible service, mediocre food on top of charging for chips salsa AND a credit card service fee.
